Greg Wright started the process of demolishing the white house in front of the Estill County Board of Education today.  According to Margaret LeMaster, the house, was owned by the Nolan family, Sarah Nolan of which was a librarian at one of the schools.  Margaret wasn’t for sure if the Nolan’s built the home, but only that they were the last to live there.  Back in the 70’s, the house was used as the central office for a time.  In the early 80’s it was used for conducting classes.  Once the middle school was built, use of the house ceased, except for storage.

Once the house is demolished, the grounds will be excavated for additional parking.
