Attention afternoon pickup parents for middle school & high school: In an effort to get cars from staging on the main road, the Estill County Sheriff’s Department and the Estill County Board of Education are recommending the below new afternoon pickup staging pattern:
1. The main campus entrance will be closed, except for buses, in the afternoons from approximately 2:30-3:10. 2. All parent pickup will enter at the old middle school entrance. 3. Parents will stage in one of the 3 designated lanes (see diagram – pink, yellow, and red arrows). 4. Traffic director will release vehicles from staging area.
Exiting: a. Parents needing to turn left on 89, will exit via the main entrance (green arrow). b. Parents needing to turn right on 89, will follow Engineer drive down to the lower exit, as normal (orange arrow).
Please be advised that parking/staging on Hwy 89 is considered a public safety risk and not recommended. We ask ALL parents to please follow these new guidelines!
