January 15, 2021:  Estill County School Announcement

After reviewing our COVID-19 Mode of Instruction Metric and looking at several data points, the district feels that we need to return to remote learning during the week of January 19 through January 22.  This is not due to any type of spread within our schools, but related to county and state data and a number of quarantines that has resulted from activities and events in our community.

Each individual school will be contacting their students and families with additional information. Teachers will be working with students daily to assist them with their assignments.  Meal delivery will resume next week and students will receive a breakfast and lunch for Tuesday through Friday.

Hopefully, our data points will improve during the next few days and in-person classes will resume on January 25 using our Hybrid A/B Schedule.  We continue to ask our entire community to follow all CDC guidelines and continue washing your hands, practice social distancing and wear a face covering.  Have a good weekend.

Principal's Message

Greetings from ESE!  January has been a great month despite all of the sickness we have encountered.  Our students are showing great growth in the areas of math and reading.  Our social studies and science knowledge is blooming as well!

Please take a moment to complete the Parent / Guardian Survey that is located here on our website and on our school's Facebook Page.  We appreciate and value your feedback!

Jessica Mullins
