Estill County Schools
Back to School Information
Under the guidance of Kentucky Governor, Andy Beshear, Estill County Schools will be delaying “in-person” classes until September 28, 2020. School will begin as scheduled on August 24, 2020. Students who have already signed up for full time remote learning will continue as planned. Nothing has changed. Students who requested A/B schedule (2 days in person/3 days remote) will now be on non traditional instruction working from home 5 days a week until “in-person” classes resume. Teachers will be facilitating both instruction delivery models each day.
Schools will communicate additional information regarding the beginning of school activities by Friday, August 14. We are disappointed that we can’t begin “in-person” classes on August 24, but we understand we all must do our part to keep our school community a safe place to work and learn. We are asking that everyone be patient with us as we continue to offer the best educational programs for our students during this unprecedented time. If you have questions, please contact your child’s school.
Welcome to ECMS! We believe our mission is to create an environment where our students are Engineering Excellence every day. At ECMS, our students have numerous opportunities for growth both in the classroom and outside the classroom through extracurricular activities. During the three years your student is an Engineer at ECMS, we expect them to achieve excellence in all they do. Each child has potential, and it is our goal that each of our students discovers and fulfills that potential here at ECMS. When our students leave us at the end of 8th grade, we want them to leave a legacy of Engineering Excellence that will allow them to have a positive impact on their families and communities for the rest of their lives.
Thank you for taking the time to visit our webpage, and we are honored to have the opportunity to educate the children of Estill County.
