• Alert: The start of school: We will not know about the start of school for a few more days, but if we are able to start the week of Aug. 6th, there would be no way we could welcome students to Estill Springs on the 7th due to Estill Springs construction. Just way too much dust and organization that needs to be done. Teachers and staff will need that day to get their classrooms ready for their return. As a result, we will have a staff workday on August 7th, to allow staff time to prepare for students. Hopefully, we can start on the 8th. Administration will meet with construction company on Thursday and should have an update for you at the board meeting Thursday night.

ECHS K-Prep Improvement Banner Award

Congratulations to Estill County High School on being recognized for their improvement on the previous year's K-Prep Assessment.

SESC presents award banners to those schools/districts that ranked among the best in our region and/or showed the greatest improvement on the previous year’s K-PREP assessment. We were pleased to learn that the ECHS will be awarded a banner at next month’s SESC Board meeting to be held at 10 a.m. on November 9 on the second floor of the Garland Building in London. Commissioner Pruitt will attend this meeting as well as we celebrate the accomplishments of our SESC members.
